SJR is looking for an Accounting Economist

SJR is looking for an Accounting Economist for our client in central Stockholm. This is a consulting assignment starting on March 1st, initially for 3 months with a chance of extension. For this assignment, we are looking for someone who wants to be employed as a consultant with occupational pension according to collective agreements.

About the position

The client is in an expansive phase where the business is growing rapidly and the finance function's processes need to be developed and refined. In this role, you will work operationally with accounting while actively contributing to improvement work, efficiency, and development of routines. You will have a central role in the collaboration between accounting, business control, and other parts of the organization, where accurate financial follow-up, analysis, and reporting are crucial. The assignment is short and intensive, with the expectation that you will quickly create structure and take full responsibility for your areas.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and accruals
• Monthly closing and reporting
• Reconciliation and declaration of VAT
• Preparation of documentation for annual reports and audits
• Participation in internal projects, e.g., system changes and accounting-related investigations
• Development, improvement, and documentation of routines and processes within the finance function

Suitable background

We are looking for someone with a higher education in finance or equivalent experience, and who has worked 5-10 years in similar accounting roles. You have a strong overall understanding of accounting flows, experience with high transaction volumes, and comfort in handling fixed assets. You are familiar with system changes and have a strong interest in systems, with experience in SAP S/4HANA being an advantage. Furthermore, you have excellent knowledge of Excel and a good understanding of K3, while experience with IFRS is seen as a plus. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, with English being the primary working language.
